Welcome to the Graduate Anthropology Student Organization (GrAnSO)!
Our goal is to provide Anthropology graduate students with resources for academic success and future career readiness, and to increase public awareness about the significance of anthropology.
Core Principles
- Professional Development
- Maintaining connections with alumni of the department and fostering communication between the department and professional organizations.
- Networking opportunities with potential employers and people in the profession of Anthropology (Conferences, Presentations).
- Anthropological Education
- Contact academics and other professionals to provide educational lectures and other opportunities regarding anthropology.
- Collaboration (Intradisciplinary & Interdisciplinary)
- Connected with Anthropological Student Organizations at other universities, as well as organizations in other disciplines at ECU.
- Community Engagement
- Providing opportunities for members of GrAnSO to go into the community and engage with different members of the public (schools, community centers, legislators).
